Pie Day is coming up (Friday, March 14) when the Affirming Ministry Committee invites Comox United, CV Unitarian Fellowship, and the broader/wider community to join us for a screening of a vital and important film that explores dimensions of queer life that impact our life together.

We do this event every year on Pi Day (written as 3/14 in the month/day format, which matches the first three digits of the numerical value of pi 3.14) which the United Church calls PIE Day (Public Intentional and Explicit) to remind us of our commitments to Affirming Ministry.  And because it’s PIE Day we hope to serve a wide choice of delicious, home-made, pies to the anticipated 50 – 75 people who usually attend.  So we hope for between 10 – 13 wonderful pies delivered to the church kitchen on Friday, March 14 between 11:00 – 1:00  that we can cut up and serve to welcome our guests.
