Success: Coldest Night of the Year Fundraiser 2019

by | Mar 1, 2019

Amidst rain, wind and cold, approximately 450 brave souls walked February 23rd, Saturday eve in support of the Coldest Night of the Year, End Homelessness campaign. The walkers weathered the evening to well exceed the approximate $70,000 goal!

Congrats to our CVUF members and supporters for raising approximately $800 in donations.

The totals are distributed in the following manner with about $220 from our Fellowship as part of the over $1400 raised by team Comox United and Unitarian Church.  The two worthy organizations we raised money for were the Transition Society and Dawn to Dawn. The Transition Society had suffered the devastating loss of Too Good To Be Threw due a catastrophic fire recently.

Congratulations to our Heather Kennedy-MacNeill who raised almost $500,with team Letzsing, mostly from our CVUF.membership!

Keep in mind donations can still be made online (cnoy.org) .until March 31st, with tax deductible donations for amounts over $20.

Thanks again to all who helped out, for this amazing cause, and we look forward to even more participation next year!.
